He owned and edited The Short Sheet, a monthly for shortwave radio enthusiasts, and had written thirty-two books about medical breakthroughs being kept from the public, the hard science proving that all NASA missions were faked, and the unconstitutionality of child support. Laswell published the books himself and sold them by mail to conspiracy buffs and easily amused college kids. He was in his loud, hearty sixties and came to work every day in green corduroy pants and an ARMY sweatshirt. Like one of my professors at Los Nietos, he wore a full beard and no moustache, a look that Gerald says “puts the ‘Amish’ in ‘squeamish.’” Everything in the office, down to the pencils, had STOLEN FROM DEAN LASWELL printed on it.
